- Side Hip Bumps
- 3/4 Shimmy (on toes, flat footed)
- Hip Drops (singles, in succession, while looking back over the shoulder)
- Tunisian Hip Drop Walk
- Pony Step
- Figure 8s (Forwards, backwards)
- Myahs (Downward Figure 8s)
- Hip Sways (Upward Figure 8s)
- Ribcage Figure 8s (Forwards, backwards)
- Traveling Ribcage Circles (1 level, alternating levels)
- Arabic I, II, and III
- Turns
- Simple Turn
- Paddle Turn
- Corkscrew Turn
- Stepback Turn (with Archer variation)
- Offering Turn
- Spotting
- Dipping Turn
- Veilwork
- Butterfly Spin (Veil in front, veil in back, veil draped over neck)
- Walk over the veil
- Frame Turn
- Propeller Turn
- Toreador Swoop
- Scarf Wrap
- Headband securing veil to head with/without ends of veil tucked
- Using a small scarf as a headband holding a larger veil
- Floorwork - Getting down using:

At the end of each class day, I encourage my students to do a short group
improvisation. We also practice playing and dancing with finger cymbals
using the rhythms that they learned in the Beginning
class (Beladi and Chiftelli).
